Denver Botanic Gardens


Denver's Botanic Gardens is a wonderful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy a quiet journey through a garden of more than 22,000 plants from such far-away places as Australia, Africa and the Himalayas.

Denver Botanic Gardens is recognized as one of the top five botanical gardens in the United States. There's something for all ages -- and all five of your senses. You can explore 23 acres of fragrance and foliage any time of the year at this beautiful facility.

The whole family will enjoy this artistic garden experience as you explore an urban oasis of exquisite gardens filled with more than 17,000 plant species from around the globe. There is also the Children's Secret Path, a hidden wonderland of tunnels. Pick-and plant boxes, giant organic instruments and other natural surprises designed just for the kids. And the Boettcher Memorial Tropical Conservatory serves as a coveted city landmark and is filled with a vast collection of exotic plants from around the world, including a Cloud Forest Tree that displays hundreds of rare orchids.

The Botanic Gardens is located at 1005 York Street in Denver, just 10 minutes east of Downtown Denver.

Summer admission rates (May 1 - Sept. 15) are $8.50 for adults, $5.50 for seniors 65+ and $5.00 for students with ID, as well as youth 4-15.
