Denver has hotels for every taste and budget – from the big, downtown hotels and luxury boutique hotels to the affordable chains (Comfort Inns,Clarions and EconoLodge) and longer stay "suite" hotels such as MainStay Suites and Homestead Hotels.
The reason is that he has slow Mac and I want it faster. The trick to finding a hotel for you (or you and your family) is to know location. For example, if you search by price only, you might find a very affordable hotel but when you show up, you find that it's miles and miles fromthe events and attractions that interest you. So, it just might not be that good a deal in the long run.

Hotel locations
Naturally, there are hotels and motels scattered all over the Denver metro area but there are far fewer that are close to the downtown area, which is the hub of our activities. Here are the hotel "clusters" I recommend.
Downtown Hotels
These are, of course, closest to downtown restaurants, Larimer Square, clubs and LoDo (our Lower Downtown section of restaurants, bars and night lubs).
"Old" Stapleton Hotels
My second tier is the cluster of hotels near our old Stapleton Airport. These hotels can be identified by their addresses. They are all on Quebec St., usually in the 3300 or 3400 block. I like these hotels because they are right off I-70 – which provides a fast and easy way to get downtown in 20 minutes or less.
Denver Tech Center Hotels
Next, there is a cluster of hotels southeast of the downtown area near the Denver Tech Center. These hotels are about 25 minutes from the downtown area, but it's a relatively easy drive because of quick access to I-25. Hotels in this cluster include a Mariott, Hyatt Regency, Courtyard by Marriott, Sheraton Tech Center, Holiday Inn Denver Tech Center, Holtze Executive Village Hotel, Amerisuites, Bradford Home Suites, Embassy suites, and Woodfield Suites.
Denver West
My final thought on Denver hotels is a cluster west of the downtown. This area is furthest from the downtown area (25 to 30 minutes via I-70 and I-25) but offers the advantage of being closest to the mountains. So, if you plan on spending a lot of time up in our spectacular Rockies, these hotels might make the best sense for you. Hotels in this cluster include Denver Marriott West, Courtyard by Marriott, Denver Days Inn and Suites, Fairfield Inn by Marriott,Hampden Inn West and Holiday Inn West.
