There are a variety of tours available in Denver and the surrounding area.

Denver's largest tour provider is Gray Line Tours. Gray Line offers door-to-door service as arrangements can be made to pick you up at your hotel and transport you to its Cherry Creek Shopping Center departure point. Tour tickets can be purchased at departure time from a Gray Line representative. All Gray Line Denver tours depart from Cherry Creek shopping center.

Denver City Tour

Zavala apartments The Gray Line Denver City Tour (Tour #28) lasts 3.5 hours and costs $25 per adult and $12.50 per child. It departs daily at 8:30 AM,travelling to kharkov cheaper

The tour includes some of Denver's loveliest residential areas, stops in two of our more than 200 parks, and stops at the Denver Museum of Natural History and Science, the Botanic Gardens, the Capital Hill area, the main part of the City and the Colorado Capitol Building. The tour ends at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center where you can have lunch and shop at stores such as Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Crabtree & Evelyn, Foley's, Nieman Marcus, Polo Ralph Lauren, Sak's Fifth Avenue and the Pottery Barn.

Denver Mountain Parks

A second Gray Line Tour you might enjoy is the Denver Mountain Parks tour (#27).

Guaranteed payday loans This tour leaves daily at 1:30 PM and lasts four hours. It costs $30 per adult and $15 per child. However, you can save $5.00 per adult if you also take the morning Denver City Tour.

The Mountain Parks tour goes west through the foothills with a first stop at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. The Amphitheater is loved by both performers and audiences because of its nearly perfect acoustics and its beautiful mountain setting. The Amphitheater has been the setting for musical groups as diverse as the Beatles, Fish, the Grateful Dead, REM, Jeff Beck, and the Colorado Symphony.

From Red Rocks, the tour continues up Bear Creek Canyon to Evergreen, Colorado with a stop at Buffalo Bill's graveside and museum. Admission to the graveside and museum is included in the cost of the tour. Finally, the tour follows the old “Lariat Trail” to Golden, Colorado, home of Coors Beer.

Whistles, Bells and Mountain Peaks

The third tour I recommend is the Gray Line Whistles, Bells and Mountain Peaks (#50) tour. This tour takes 10 hours and costs $75 per adult and $40 per child. However, if you're not planning on driving up into into our mountains yourself, this tour is what you need to get the true flavor of Colorado as it includes some absolutely breathtaking scenery, as well as time in a fun historic town, and a ride on an actual narrowgauge railroad – the kind of railroad that transported people and supplies up into the mountains and brought gold and silver back into Denver.

This tour heads west into the foothills and over Squaw Pass to Echo Lake with a stop at Echo Lake Lodge. From there, it's downhill to Idaho Springs, whose main street provides shopping and browsing as well as your included lunch.

Following lunch, the tour goes up the hill to historic Georgetown and the Georgetown Loop Railway. Here, at an elevation of over 9,000 feet above sea level, you will ride this scenic narrow gauger train down and back up a beautiful mountain canyon which provides some of the best photographic opportunities you will ever see. Be sure to bring your camera! The cost of this trip is included in the cost of the tour, as is your lunch.

At the end of the train ride, it's back on the coach for the trip to the top of Loveland Pass at an elevation of 11,992 feet above sea level. The bus stops there for pictures and a breath of fresh air.

Then it's back down the hill and back into Denver for the end of your full and exciting day!

The Colorado Sightseers Historic Denver Tour

The Colorado Sightseer also offers tours of historic Denver. This tour, which is offered year around, takes four hours and costs $40 per adult and $30 for children 5 through 12.

The tour includes a knowledgeable guide and visits to the historic Brown Palace Hotel, Lower Downtown (we call is LoDo), Coors Field, Mile High at Invesco Field, the beautiful Colorado State Capitol, historic neighborhoods and city parks, and the historic Molly Brown House,On the Colorado Sightseer tours are on a call-and-demand basis so that reservations for individual tours should be made by phone at (303) 423-8200 or (800) 255-5105. Passenger pick-up is from all downtown Denver hotels unless along the tour route. Morning ours begin 8-8:30 am, afternoon tours 1-1:30 pm. Tours include a knowledgeable, friendly guide, clean, comfortable touring vans, snacks and sodas, the price of admission to all included sites, and park entrance fees.

The Colorado Sightseers Foothills TourThe Colorado Sightseer also offers a Foothills Tour (#2) for $35 per adult and $25 for children 5 through 12. This tour, which is offered throughout the year, includes a trip to the Coors Brewery, to learn its brewing process and sample some beer. In addition, it has a drive up the Lariat Trail to the top of Lookout Mountain (spectacular 200-mile panorama), a visit to Buffalo Bill's Graveside and Museum, a visit with Denver's own Buffalo herd (if they're not hiding in the hills), and a walk through Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater in the shadow of towering red sandstone formations.

The Foothills Tour includes the guided tour with a knowledgeable guide and snacks and sodas. Again, reservations should be made in advance by calling (303) 423-8200 or (800) 255-5105. Morning and full-day tours begin 8-8:30 am, afternoon tours 1-1:30 pm.

The Colorado Sightseers Ultimate Mountain Tour

The third tour offered by the Colorado Sightseer that I would suggest is The Ultimate Mountain Tour (#3) which is offered from mid-May through September.

This tour costs $65 per adult and $50 for children through 12. It departs at 8:30 in the morning and heads west up through rugged Clear Creek Canyon, stopping for pictures and looking for Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep. It then travels up the highest paved road in North America to the Mount Evans Wilderness Area. Simply put, this is not for people who have breathing problems as the elevation is 14,260'. However, the views of the Rocky Mountains from here are simply breathtaking. And there is a good chance you will also see Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep in this wilderness area.

Next, comes lunch in Idaho Springs, followed by a tour of the Phoenix Gold Mine where you are guided by an actual miner. You will also pan for gold in a clear mountain stream – and keep what you find!

The tour cost includes a knowledgeable guide, snacks and sodas, admission to the Mount Evans Wilderness Area, and admission and tour of the Phoenix Gold Mine.

Our warning

travelling to kharkov cheaper Both the Whistles, Bells and Mountain Peaks and the Ultimate Mountain Tours are not for the faint of heart. The air is very thin at altitude and not for those who have health problems such as asthma or heart problems. Sudden changes in the weather are the norm. In fact, it is not uncommon for it to snow in the mountains clear up to mid-June and any time after September 1. The temperature in the summer in the mountains rarely gets above 60o and sudden drops in temperature are not uncommon. Dress warmly and always bring a jacket or sweater. Exposure to the sun is 40% greater above timberline than it is at sea level and only 40% of the oxygen is available.
