Movie Theaters
New Page 2
While movie theaters have deserted the downtown areas of many cities, the good news is that films are alive and well in downtown Denver.
Denver Pavilions First, there is a 15-theater multiplex in the heart of Denver in the Denver Pavilions. The Pavilions is located on the 16th Mall at Tremont Place. Naturally enough, it is called the Denver Pavilions Stadium 15.
The Pavilions Stadium 15 plays all the popular, first-run movies. For example, as of this writing, thee films that were playing were exactly the same as in a suburban multiplex:Date Movie, Eight Below local movers toronto , Freedomland, Firewall,The Pink Panther and others.
To find out what's playing during your Denver visit, call 1-800-FANDANGO, and use code #530.
Starz Film Center The last theater, or in this case, theaters, I would mention is the Starz Film Center.
This Center is home theaters and the cinematic education center of Denver Film Society and University of Colorado at Denver's College of Arts & Media with support from Starz Encore Group.
The Starz film center is basically Denver's only true cinematheque, that is a group of six theaters that present the best in film art – especially movies not normally available in conventional multiplexes..
The Center's works to present lively, challenging, informing and entertaining films. This includes art-house cinema, local and international film festival films, exclusive first-run theatrical engagements, and revivals and retrospectives, as well as meet-the-filmmaker events.
Additionally, it is the home of the Denver Film Festival which is held each year in November.
Be sure to check on films playing at the Starz Film Center a few days before your Denver visit, by clicking on the link below.

Colorado Center IMAX Theater Denver is actually the home of two IMAX theaters. One is located at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, and the other, the Colorado Center IMAX. While not downtown, strictly speaking, this theater is only about 15 minutes southeast of the downtown area.
The Colorado Center IMAX, like the one at the Museum, plays a variety of films throughout the year. As of this writing, it was showing two films, “Mars Rover” and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire: The IMAX Experience.” You should be able to check this theater's schedule shortly before your Denver visit by clicking on the link below.
